Aidsnet's Sterring Committee is elected by the members at the Annnual Meetings. The Chairman of the Steering Committee together with the host organisation are also elected at the Annual Meeting. The host organisation automatically becomes a member of the Steering Committeee.
For the initial three-year period, The Danish Family Planning Association (Sex & Samfund) has been elected as the host organisation legally and financially responsiblefor Aidsnet's grant.
Current members of the Steering Committee:

- Kirsten Madsen, AIDS Fondation
- Inger Olesen, ADRA Denmark
Procedures:
The Steering Committee meets at least four times a year. However, the Steering Committee is consulted electronically between meetings.
- Steering Committee meetings are open to all network members. Minutes of meetings are distributed to all members.
- The Steering Committee is authorised to approve and table amendments to applications from the thematic groups. Furthermore, the Steering Committee makes principal decisions concerning the basis for Aidsnet's activities and sets out guidelines for future activities.
- Members of the Steering Committee are elcted by hte members at the Annual Meeting.
- Chairman is the network host organisation.
