- European and Danish networks!
In recent years a large number of NGOs have joined forces in international networks. Some of the networks emphasize broad cooperation on reproductive and sexual health and rights whereas others solely focus on HIV/AIDS. However, they all share the wish to help create an institutional platform for advocacy, resource mobilisation and information sharing.
European network:
- Share-net (Netherland's Network on Sexual & Reproductive Health and AIDS)
Dutch network counting 32 members as well as various loosly connected individual members working together on sexual and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS issues.
- Spanish Interest Group on Population, Development and Reproductive Health (SIG)
Network of academics, NGOs and women's organisations especially cooperating with parliamentarians to support and promote reproductive health.
- Belgian Platform on Population and Development
Civil society initiative established as a follow-up to the UN International Conference on Population and Development in Cairo in 1994.
- UK Consortium on AIDS and International Development
Group comprising more than 60 British organisations, including religious organisations working together on HIV/AIDS activities in developing countries.
- UK Network on Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights
Group of British organisations fighting to ensure smalller NGOs' influence on the Britisk attitude to abortion, contraception, and humnan rights in respect to sexual and reproductive health
- Osservatorio (Observatorio Italiano sull'azione Globale Contro l'AIDS)
Italian network covering 25 members organised in six work groups. The network offers technical input to the Global Fund's Country Coordination Mechanism.
- Norsk AIDS-Nett
Norwegan organisation of NGOs and interest groups working to fight HIV/AIDS.
- PLANeS (Fondation Suisse pour la Santé Sexuelle et Reproductive)
Swiss organisation counting 200 collective and individual members working together to promote reproductive ans sexual health in accordance with the Cairo Conference.
Aidsnet also cooperates with The Child and Youth Network, The Education Network and The Danish Network for International Health Research in respect to specific activities of common interest.
