Aidsnet er et netværk af 30 NGO'er og forskningsinstitutioner, der arbejder sammen om at forbedre kvaliteten af den danske hiv/aids indsats i udviklingslandene. Det sker igennem aktiviteter, der fremmer kapacitetsopbygningen i NGO'erne og som styrker erfaringsudvekslingen. Vi er et åbent, medlemsstyret netværk.

Women Deliver, which works to advance women’s health globally, is celebrating International Women’s Day this year by spotlighting the 50 most inspiring ideas and solutions that could make the world a better place for girls and women. A microbicide ring—designed to prevent HIV in women and soon to enter efficacy trials -has been selected as one of 125 finalists in the first “Women Deliver 50” contest. Please vote today at Women Deliver’s Facebook page to select your favorite innovations and programs designed to help improve the lives of women across the globe. The microbicide ring is “number 11”under the category titled Which Technologies and Innovations are Your Favorites? Voting ends March 2, and winners will be announced March 8 on International Women's Day. |

Aidsnet is organising a seminar meeting on criminalisation of HIV at Christiansborg (the Danish Parliament) on March 12th. The meeting will both focus on the Danish penal code as well as how criminalisation in developing countries affects our HIV prevention work and our possibilities of influencing this development through advocacy work. The debate will include legal aspects, public health considerations as well as human rights issues. Read the full invitation here . Everyone is welcome to attend. Advocates from around the world (including Henriette Laursen from AIDS-Fondet) working to end inappropriate criminal prosecutions for HIV non-disclosure, potential exposure and non-intentional transmission have developed the Oslo Declaration on HIV Criminalisation. Read and support the Declaration here. Aidsnet is convening a meeting on criminalisation of HIV at Christiansborg on March 12th (more information about this meeting will be sent out shortly). |
